Metabolism isn’t just about how fast you burn calories;
it’s about how your body processes and converts
food into energy.


When your metabolic health is compromised, it can lead to a range of problems, including weight gain, difficulty losing weight, fatigue, and even serious conditions like diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure.
Poor metabolic health can make it feel like no matter how hard you try, your body just isn’t responding the way it should—whether you’re following a diet, working out, or simply trying to feel your best.

Here's what your score means:

  • 0-2 points: You are at low risk for metabolic syndrome.
  • 3-5 points: You are at moderate risk and should consider lifestyle changes to lower your risk.
  • 6-8 points: You are at high risk and should consult with a healthcare professional for evaluation and management.
  • 9-10 points: You are at very high risk and should seek immediate medical attention for assessment and treatment.

You currently have minimal risk factors associated with metabolic syndrome. However, it’s important to maintain a healthy lifestyle to keep your risk low.

Focus on regular physical activity, a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins, and regular check-ups to monitor blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels. This will help you stay on track and prevent potential future issues.

The good news is that you’re doing okay.  The bad news is that you could be doing better.

With just a few minor modifications to your lifestyle, you can move into the low risk category.

You have some risk factors for metabolic syndrome, which means your risk of developing related conditions like heart disease or type 2 diabetes is elevated.

This is a good time to make lifestyle changes, such as increasing your physical activity, adopting a more balanced diet, and possibly losing weight if needed.
Regular monitoring of blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar is also recommended. Consider consulting with a healthcare professional for personalized advice on how to reduce your risk.

This is where I started my  Nourish journey and I was able to make a few simple modifications to my lifestyle to move into the low risk category.
